Archangel Icons 2026 Icon Workshops

I’m offering five Intensive Icon Workshops from April through August. I will be accepting no more than 6 students per workshop, and they are open to beginners as well as more experienced students. All workshops will take place in my studio in Carnegie, PA. We will be creating a 12 x 16” icon using JoSonja acrylic techniques. Classes will also include prayer, discussions on technique, history, and theology of the icon. Students will also have access to the studio’s 300+ book library.

STUDIO
302 East Main Street, Carnegie, PA 15106, It is a red brick building with green awnings. Look for the green door that has 302 above it, climb to the third floor and I'm right at the top.
SCHEDULE
We will start every day at 9:00 am, take a break at noon and
finish around 5:00 pm
LUNCH We will break at noon. I have a small fridge if you wish to bring food, There is also plenty of places close by to eat.
SUPPLIES
All supplies are provided. However, if you have favorite brushes or other supplies that you like feel free to bring them.
PARKING
Most parking is metered, but you can park for free in front of the two Orthodox churches and the houses two blocks away on Mansfield Blvd
ACCOMMODATIONS
There are a large number of hotels/ Air b&b's etc., within 15 minutes of Carnegie.
COURSE FEE
$600. The price includes all painting materials including boards, paint, brushes, etc. Fee does not include lodging or meals.
Course space is limited to 6 participants per class. Please register early to secure your spot.
A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to reserve a place in this workshop.
The remaining balance is due upon arrival.
